We create Information Only Profiles from publicly available business information. Business owners can manage their information through their own account or request removal.  Consumers can search by business name, location, phone number, services and Trust Factors. City and Town listings identify communities served, while Trade Areas include surrounding communities. Every business can access any trade area in Canada. A contractor can access other trade areas, but may need a municipal license for those areas. A company that markets to other trade areas to draw consumers to its business location needs a municipal license only for its trade area. Trade areas include cities and towns. The number of city or town trade areas depends on the subscription type and whether the business purchases extra trade areas with Extended Visibility.  The letters TA after a city or town name identify a trade area.  For example, Saskatoon TA can include Saskatoon and the surrounding area. Some cities and towns just outside major centres are designated as separate Trade Areas because of their population, location, or because they serve a local population area. Please note the following.  Safe and Trusted Canada is an advertising venue for businesses.  Business owners can advertise on the Site.  Safe and Trusted Canada does not accredit or endorse any business.  The application form has 2 parts.  The second page,  which deals with Standard and Contractor Credentials, is optional for the business.  Businesses that list credentials in this section must ensure they are accurate and up to date.  See more

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE PLACE THE FOLLOWING CONTENT INTO EVERY PROFILE

• Information Only Profiles are as advertised to the public on the internet.
• As a matter of policy, the Site does not recommend, accredit, suggest, promote, or validate any business. Consumers do that through reviews.
• The Site provides public links to review sites that permit us to publish those links.
• The Site provides public links to review sites for information only. Businesses with an account status have control over links to review sites.
• Subscription types give business owners different advertising options, but the Site does not suggest that credibility determines the subscription level.
• Users can use the Credentials Search's advanced features to assess the reliability of each business.
• It is the user's responsibility to verify the credentials advertised by the business.
• Notify the Site Admin immediately if the business is advertising credentials they do not have, or if the information is outdated.
• The company and the consumer determine transactions entirely between themselves.
• Safe and Trusted Canada does not mediate complaints, issues, or concerns.
• Seek legal advice for complex transactions.
• Protect your interests as a consumer. Business profiles can change at any time. Ownership, affiliations, and reviews may change quickly.
